There has been some talk about people getting together to shoot. Does Myrtle Grove still have a 3D target course? Any other places we could meet up. I'm like most of ya....still shooting a slow, old, PSE but it gets the job done. I'm thinking about getting new on though if the $$$ is available.
We should pick a date for early spring......just not on a Saturday. I'll be chasing a big Tom!!

You can only hunt till noon!! There's a place on RTE 301 that has a public range as well. Pretty sure Mrytle Grove still has a place, but think you have to buy a permit.

I am more confident with my bow over my shotgut too. Pretty sure that the place is in PG county. My buddy has told me about it before, but I have never been there with him. I'll have to contact him to find out were it is, but pretty sure he said it's FREE.
I'll give him a call tomorrow & let everyone know.

I agree. We get two ladder stands, set em up on the edge of a field, and go to town. If everybody brings a target or two, it will be plenty. I have four or so to bring myself. We have been trying to come up with a date. Maybe end of march begining of April? Before turkey season gets under way.

The range on Rt. 301 is/was on Old Indian head Rd., which is in Cheltham. If your heading up 301 (north) from the Rt. 5, Rt.301 split it is just passed Frank Tippet Rd. on the Right side of 301. You turn on Old Indian head Rd. than make the first right. It was a dirt driveway. I not sure, if it is still dirt or even if the range is still here. It's been close to 10 years ago since I was there. .

I think I've been there before? Is it open to the public during the week. If it's the same place I remember there being tons of targets set up. It was a great place to shoot

Well Huntin' Fever and I have been doing some vicious practicing, trying to prepare for the opening of VA turkey season this Saturday......We even broke out the ground blind and taking some shots from there, even the second story of the house out of a window...Goodtimes.....As far as the "Bow Party" how many of you guys have been dusting off those things and putting them to good use? I'm ready to fling some 'rows... ;D
