I have had a few of my buddies buy that bow this year and from what I hear, it's awesome! I just bought a new Switchback last season and I love it. We will be raffling off a Brand New Matthews Drenalin at the Expo so if anyone wants a great chance to win an awesome as$ bow just come to the Expo! And for those of you Hoyt Lovers out there we are also giving away a New Hoyt Tykeron to one of the first 500 people through the doors

I just bought a Parker Trailblazer XP a couple months ago. Its a great bow. Its got a smooth draw cycle, its quiet, and its fast. I picked it over some of the higher end bows just because of how much i liked it.

After my MQ32 was stolen fall of 05 I bought a mathews switchback. I have had nothing but good experiences with mathews and after shooting it I fell in love. I feel very comfortable with it and was shooting consistent from the start. I just wish I could get it into the woods more.

My uncle has 3 Tom Parsons long bows. He loves them so much he sold all of his compound and only shoots traditional. I'd like to try it one day.

I learned how to shoot on a recurve, was definitely different than a compound. I thought it was weird having to get used to a bow with let off (60%)

Hardcore, Let me know if I can help..TP builds a great bow...I shot a compund years ago with fingers and no sights. Killed a few memorable deer with it too. It was a Darton..When I got back into shooting I went to a recurve and then found my place with the longbow. All in all I dont care what anyone shoots, I just want to have some fun!

My only concern with a long bow is hunting from a tree stand. From the ground I think is the more conventional way to hunt with a long bow. I got to be in a tree. I'll try one of Toms at the expo and see how it shoots, never know?

2007 LH Bowtech Guardian 28.5" draw, 80% let-off, Mossy Oak camo Sword Acu-site Apex Hunter 3 pin .019" with Top Gun 4 Position Rheostat Blue Light Top Gun Phantom Drop-Away arrow rest Vibracheck Isolator G2 7" stabilizer Carbon Force 2300 Equalizer 27" with 3" QuickSpin ST vanes, 1 dz. Muzzy MX3 100 grain broadheads, 6 pc. Easton 11/32" combo points, 100 grain, 1 dz. Tru-Fire strapless release device with adjustable thumb trigger, allows for inverting the hand PSE King hip quiver
350 grain arrow reached 280 fps from 64.5# bow. That is rather impressive 191 miles per hour. 25 yards take .27 seconds of flight.
The Black Widow recurve shooter using the same arrow reached a 175 fps, or a 119 mph from a full draw of 55#. 25 yards take .43 seconds of flight and a skittish deer may flinch just in time to deflect, but more importantly there has to be a bigger trajectory drop at the speed that is only 63% of that reached by The Guardian.
Zero vibration, zero hand shock, it was as if the arrow never left. The staff and patrons just shook their heads in hateful silence.
From 25 yards I was placing arrows in 4"x4" target 6 out of six times, and these were my very first shorts, with no instruction whatsoever, from just attached sight. I was declared combat ready and congratulated on a fine weapon. The full poundage tested at 73# and I could pull that about 10 times without redlining and popping of bones and sinews. 65# is an immensely more enjoyable setting. The arrows fly very flat, not at all what I was expecting. They also fly very quietly, definitely the loudest sound BY FAR is the THUD of impact.
