It's German Silver, also called white brass. Neat stuff, works just like brass but shines up like stainless.

That is a work of art it'll be too purty to take into a marsh. I still use an old style TC renegade percussion it just doesn't seem like "primitive" with the new muzzleloaders. Remember once in the snow I had to use three caps to get a shot off, then missed, now that was exciting.

i know how you feel. still use a 54 tc renegade. but the flintlock. never shoot one.to much to go wrong. and you might as well figure if it can go bad. it will for me. i am just lucky like that

There must be a load of those old TC renegades out there, I've still got the .54 I bought used nearly 20 years ago. Still shoot it some, too, and the kid I take hunting killed his first deer with it last year.

Escutcheon plate. This bugger has to be engraved, too.

Had to get to work on some of those carving designs, so got that side all finished to shape, cheek piece shaped and the edge moulding cut in, and layed out and burned in the big design. Even started on relieving the first bit...

Osprey, Again nice work I bet the feeling is extra special when MR whitetail or MR sika rolls over from a hand built gun . Looking forward to seeing where that gun goes this hunting season and what you bring out with it.

I didn't think it possible, but I think this one will be far better looking than the last.
