from my experience that two blade rage is the way to go. They are so accurate and fly so true. i have them personally and love how they work and fly in the field. FOurty to fourty five yards no problem and a two inch plus hole is just to good.

Made the switch today from rage 3-blades to rage 2-blades. It was a expensive switch , but man them two blades seems to lay them open more so then the three blades.

Earlier in this forum is said I hadn't had all three blades open on my Rages, I take that back, dropped a small 8 pt two nights ago with them and had all three blades finally open. They seem to only all open if you have a perfectly broadside shot, any quartering shots and I haven't had all the blades open.

My buddy shot a sika last weekend with two blade rage and both blades fell out.One was laying at impact un-hurt.The other we never found .It took his arrow about 40 yards and the the ferrule was fine.I'm seem to remember a re-call on them a year ago I heard because of the set screws being a problem. My three blades from last year has the set screw and my new two blades has set screw. His new two blade rage has a split pin in it.I don't know if I got some of the older model and his is the newer ones. Maybe that one just didn't get pressed in there right.BUT with that said the entrance hole was awesome. If they blow up afterwards so be it I can live with it!!!

Hope this does not happen to me! The three blade as greater penetration then the two blade. I like that extra blade cause it might mean making that needed laceration in the lung or heart. Both are awesome though. All my friends that hunt with them have nothing but good things to say. I'd like to try the G5 Montec... any info on them. If they are like the 4 blade muzzy's then never mind. They do not fly right for me.

Have not try them brettgerhart.None of my buddys have either. But I look at them and read aticles on them.Love the design of them .They should be very durable.Every time I see them I can only think of snuffer which was the rage of it time 20 years ago.I still have around a dozen snuffer that could killed deer now.It too had a 2 inch cut as the rage. The flaw in snuffer was they need a insert hot glue in them to work on arrow. At factory they ship together with 2 part expoxy. If you spun them some would wobble really bad,and not fly consisted. We would break them back down and hot glue and spin them on arrow shaft. The G5 Montec will not have that problem and I like a broadhead you can sharpen on a stone.I like them alot but peer pressure won out and I trying two blade rages this year.Bows have gotten shorter from axle to axle all the while gaining speed, and making bows less forgiving of flaws.Mechanicals helps limit some of these flaws to be more consisted. If your bow is shooting fixed 3 blades heads good it should these to as long as there no difference in grains.
