Saw some mention that if their boss knew how much time they spent on the web site they would get fired and was wondering how some of you guys make a living? Myself I am self employed in the welding business. ;D

It's got to be great to be self employed, no boss over your shoulder I wish I could say I was a self employed "HUNTER" but thats not the case. I am a Graphic Designer employed by Lockheed Martin in VA, so the drive sucks but the job is cool. As a welder have you ever though about or made any treestands. I know that if I knew how to weld aluminum I would try to give it a shot.

I am a CPA...a.k.a. beancounter. I do business & individual taxes/business consulting type stuff/auditing. Right now is my busiest time of the year - all the way until April 15th. Guess that's ok since when turkey time rolls around I can go as often as I like, sort of like Osprey. ;D

I'm a full-time grad student of William and Mary. It's hard work for little pay, and when I graduate I can expect more of the same. Fisheries ecologists don't really get paid to well... -- B

I also bid commercial blind and shade contract work in new construction and renovation to general contractors. I've been self employed since I was 19, I'll be 49 this July. P.S. - It's been my expierience that everyone has a boss, my bosses just don't know my work schedule

Also have a traveling exotic animal buisness for the past three yeats and running.(Make more in a weekend doing that than a week at the other) Also just started a hunting related buisness with my brother but can't go into too much detail on that one just yet.

I'm an ecologist for an environmental consulting firm. I do all aspects of environmental planning including wetlands delineations, forest stand delineations, endargered species surveys, writing environmental impact statements, etc. In short, companies (usually large multinational oil and gas firms) hire us to help them comply with environmental laws and regulations.
