Deer Hunter if you want wild quial around you're better off to do habitat work. If you want to shoot lots of birds each year then raise (or buy) and release, as even with plenty of wild birds you won't want to shoot your coveys out - need to keep at least 6 birds in a covey to keep them going. I keep planning on hunting them more at my place, and I've got some quail, but I guess I get too paternal about them and just hate to kill them unless there's a bumper crop on a given year.

I hear ya Osprey, The first Ruffed I ever killed was in Swallow Falls SP in Garrett Co.. They are "The Ghost Bird", now you see 'em and now you don't! Here's some pics from that hunt, my first grouse (I've got a sweet little 20ga 870 pump I had bored out to skeet choke, awesome gun on birds!)... ...One of the birds from that day done in a dead mount... ...And I love this, the tail from the very first grouse - with a painting of the dog I killed it over. ;D Guy I hunted with was friends with an artist, he used those Britts as models for a Woolrich catalog cover he did.

Looks like he's hung over from a hard Saturday night of drinking, he must have been out with the boys.

Thats a great picture! I use to have over fifty of those box turtles. Had an arce fenced in for them and fed them greens and fruits. Most were found crossing roads and the other were ones that had been hit by cars and I fixed thier shell. Let em all go a few years back.

These geese come back to my pond every year but have only been able to hatch the last two years because of the red fox that hangs out back in the woods.
