Anyone ever seen an albino deer around MD? I saw one two years ago in a field near my house. It was actually a piebald, all white with a brown head. Out of cuiosity how many of you would rather shoot a albino fawn or a 8 point buck with a 20 inch spread? Its truly a toss up for me. Leaning towards the fawn.

Albino deer in other states are protected from hunting. I feel they harbor an inferior gene that shouldn't be spread thru out a herd. They also would make one great looking mount. I would still choose the buck. Unless there was an albino 8 pointer, than I'd choose that one. LOL

I have seen an all white albino in Charles County. Sorry, but that's all the location I can disclose.

I've seen many piebald deer on Quantico Marine Base but I have not seen any in MD. I'd have to go for the 8pt w/20 " spread. Once I had that one hanging on the wall I'd opt for the albino!

I too have seen an albino deer in Charles County. It was about 3years ago and it was a nice 6pt at that time.

Based on the weather for the next couple of days and the time of year, does anyone have any suggestions on tactics for this weekend? scents, rattling? etc.

Heres what I'm thinking..
The temps for this weekend will be in the high 40's. This will increase deer movement greatly. Not sure how much rain we are going to get, I don't think it will be much. There is also a full moon on Saturday.
Maybe a Little LIGHT rattling and not to much (still just a little early I think for the harder stuff). I'm going to use some scent killer and drag some Downwind Scents Doe Pee (NOT estrus - not time yet), and do a Little calling (buck grunts - Light). It will be a gloomy day on Saturday and cold -so it should be JUST RIGHT!!!!

I personally don't like the full moon thing. I think it is bad for the deer. I prefer to hunt with no moon on a completely overcast day. We will have at least half of it this Saturday, so I will be out there trying. Hopefully I'll at least get to see some deer.

For those rainy days a Porta Roof is a must. Feels like your hunting off a covered deck

I saw this on another site and decided this is the deer I had been waiting for. 12 pointer shot in Kentucky.
