Awesome, love the junk. That is real nice of you giving away a 5 1/2 year old. I'm sure he'll be nice and tender How many points all together? I counted around 15.

He weighed 140 dressed, actually hooked up the scale when I had him hanging. I counted 16 points, but a lot of them depend on how you score it, some are small and some are palmated V's, kinda hard to tell for sure...I've never scored non-typs before.

Osprey you are the man. Seldom does a story as perfect as freakhorns pan out the way it did. Big congrats!!! I'm a little sad because I was hoping to see what he looked like next year. LOL. Job well done.

I won't say I'm sad, but will admit to a bit of melancholy at his passing. Seems odd not to have him to chase and dream about now!

Congratulations on taking that deer. That deers mass is just sick. Most of the time deer like that do get hit by a car or poached. My dad, brother and myself watched a deer from a button up to a 2 1/2 year old 8 pt with a 22" spread for 3 years and passed on him just to see how big he could get. We called him bob tail because his tail looked like a rabbit tail. The next season we found him dead with 22 mag hole in his temple. Whoever did it did not even take the meat or the rack.
