Anybody else been out yet? Can best decribe it here as a scattering of birds. Few buffs, goldeneyes, scaup, mallards and ruddies. Some shooting, but not hot or heavy yet. Did get to watch my young lab Puck make his first triple retrieve today on ruddies - and he got the last 2 of them in one trip out! ;D I think he's going to be something after all!!
Does seem to be a load of geese here, I need to put some goose decoys out. I must be in the center of them though, guys around me keep saying they're not seeing any geese.

where are you seeing a load of geese? I have hunted Easton the last two days and we have only killed 5, maybe seen 200 each day?

Neck District west of Cambridge, thousands every morning. I don't think there was five minutes from daylight to 9:30 this morning that I didn't have flocks in the air .
