I thought I would share my Turkey Gun makeover with you guys. I have two 870’s, one a 3” and one a 3.5”. In an attempt to make my 3.5” gun the turkey killing machine it should be, last year I added the TruGlo red dot but found the comb on the old stock to be a little low. To compensate this year, I’m adding the Shurshot grip. Indecently, I ordered both the sight and stock from Cheaperthandirt.com as they had the lowest price on both items by at least $10. I had to take the 3.5” completely apart in order to shoot some lube into the back side of the stock bolt so it would break free. It took about an hour to get both guns apart and back together again. The end result…you be the judge. One more addition to come…a new choke tube for the 3.5”. I am leaning toward an Indian Creek Black Diamond. I’m heading up to the Outdoor Show in Harrisburg next week to make that final decision. Bring on the Gobblers!
