Hey, heads up, if you guys want something to do mid-day tomorrow go see if you've got some woodcock over there. Was in the field before light today setting up for geese and had woodcock peenting and twittering all over the field, more than I've ever heard. Took the lab pup out later and walked the grass strips, but didn't find any by then. Thinking they moved back into the woods at daybreak, but it was raining pretty good by then. I am going to look for them again before it ends tomorrow though. Season in MD ends tomorrow, 28th, 3 per day.

What sort of camo do you where for a woodcock hunt? Something Pink with lots and lots of ribbons and bows??? Wierd o.....

I shoulda figured you wouldn't know what a woodcock is, seeing as how it would take 300 of them to make one meal for you.

Last one I saw around here was 3 or 4 years ago-sitting on eggs. Almost stepped on it!
Last ones I shot (at, LOL) were over there in Church Creek, a LONG time ago.
Did see a bunch couple years ago up in Garret, a few days BEFORE the season opened.
