Anyone interested in maybe planning a PIG HUNT in South Carolina or anywhere else for that matter. Never been and would really like to go. Thought we could get a few guys together and get with an outfitter and go give it a whirl. Drop me a line on this thread if you think you may be interested.

If you wanted to hunt state land, I'm game and know enough to get us on some. We would probably stay in Myrtle Beach area.

Sounds good.. Nalley I have a few connections down that way too. May score us a cheap place to stay. Let me know what kind of set up we are looking at and what location and I will do some homework on what I can line up for accomidations. When is a good time to go and what kind of cash we looking at too. I think with the guys on here that have responded and probably a couple more we could have us one heck of a hunt.

The place we hunt at is called Woodbury. It's a WMA in South Carolina. Sometime after January sounds good to me. The costs would be your license and food and lodging. I think the license is about $100 becasue you need a WMA permit and a small game license.

The price sounds good to me and late Jan or early Feb would be a great time to go after some piggies. Nalley any info on the web or a link for that WMA so I can check it out?

Pig Hunt...ohh yeah! I'll bring the oil! Oh wait... you mean an actual hog hunt. Come on Andy, you can't tease a Southern Marylander like that. ;-)
On a serious note, I'd be up for it depending on prices and dates. Just let me know what you nail down. I might not be able to eat 'em, but I'll shoot 'em.

Fox
Give me a call and lets get this thing going. There is a place in PA that does a put and take on an 150 acre island. It's like $350 for what ever you shoot.

Know a guy who used to hunt Francis Marion NF there in SC and do very well. Hell Hole was one of his favorite spots.
Weapons allowed at any given time in FM are kind of weird, considering hogs are a nuisance species. Sort of have to use shotguns during turkey season, shotgun or .22 during small game, rifles/slugs during big game, etc
I grabbed a $99 RT flight to FL a few years back, then a rental car, and had a <$500 total hog hunt. Looking to do it cheaper, LOL.

Well DaveP you are welcome to join our group if you want to. Should come together in the next month or so and people can start planning. Thinking sometime in January or Febuary when deer season is over and evryone still wants to put blood on the ground
