Looking for a new black powder? I am very pleased with the T/C Encore. Comfortable fit, optics mount solid, and the versatility of changing barrels is great. Especially when turkey season comes around. Just change barrels and you are ready to go, the fiber optics on the turkey shotgun barrel are nice. Optics stay with BP barrel til next year.

I have shot a few different rounds but have been using Power belts for the last 2 years. They fly great out of my gun as do the others I've shot but these seem to group really tight. You should probably buy a few different rounds and go the range and play with them to see which one works the best for your gun. The wieght of the round is up to you and what your trying to do. If you ae trying to make a rifle out of your BP, whichI don't recommend, then you probably want a light aerodynamic round with 150 grains of what ever you shoot. If you want knock down power then you probably want to shoot a 300+ grain round with a least 100 grains of powder or more. Be careful of your distant know where it falls off. I shoot 245 to 265 grain rounds. Sort of the happy medium. My shots are usually no more then 80 yards at the most, typically 50 yards 99% of the time. Good luck.
