bowfishing on the C&O canal

The C&O canal runs by dam 4 in williamsport MD, and in the actual canal there is huge carp everywhere, now would it be legal to bowfish there since its right by the river I know your aloud to fish in the canal cause i do it all the time i was just wandering if you can do it with a bow

I would recommend you call the DNR and verify with them just to be safe. Not familiar with that area but sounds like a good time. good luck and post some pics if you get in there.
