I wonder if last year was his prime and he was starting to drop off?? I saw the deer in person and I didn't see any indications of the deer beginning his decline. Leads me to beleive it is another??

The trail camera picture is definately the same deer. No question.
Of course no disrepect to the hunter, just making an observation, I believe the buck was old and his rack was in decline.
It appears the right main beam was either broken or did not form the end of his beam. Also, the second crab claw on the right main beam looks to have become one longer point, yet a few tines back an very long beam was replaced with a smaller "curvy" beam.
On the left side, the same thing. The main beam is noticably shorter and has some places where mass has replaced tines/tine length.
I do think that it is cool that I once hunted on property that this deer had stepped foot.

Geez, That thing is a monster! I wonder how bad he was shakin' before he shot that hog. Those tines look almost as big as Andy's fingers!

I got a call last night from a friend, he said the deer has a rough score of 268 3/8. pretty good source but im sure its not been certified. He didn't know anything about deductions or details about total score before deductions. I cant wait to read the whole story from the time he got out of the truck to head to his stand and when he finally went to bed.

who could have slept..... i know i wouldn't been able to. I really hope the BWA pro Staff can get Bill to do a write up of the story on this buck. i would love to read more of the details on it... I cannot wait to see where this buck stands in the record books... I have to think it is easily a new state record and really want to know where it ranks in the world....
