I'm normally a target shooter but looking to get into something a little more fun than shooting at a bale of hay. Thought bowfishing looked like a blast but I can't find any info online about where to get started in the state of Maryland. I live in Baltimore county and I'm looking for anything nearby that allows bowfishing. According to the DNR website you can do it but I have no idea where. Please help.
Thanks

Well, as of 2009 (if i understand correctly) you can bowfish anywhere in maryland that is a)not city controlled water and b)not a trout fishing area. The fishing guide book will be more specific. Past that, my advice is just to hike or boat around water and come back with a bow if you find an area with carp/rays in it. Other members will be able to provide better answers
