Well here he is. It was Dec 1st on the Blackwater refuge with winds gusting non stop between 20 to 40 miles an hour it seemed. Had the trusty Benelli Nova loaded with 3 1/2 inch Remington OO Buck shot when this bad ass came running through the opening. I would like to tell you I got him on the first shot but there were to many witnesses for me to lie and it took me all three shots I had in the gun. Shot over his back twice as the tree was swaying what felt like 5 feet back and forth in the wind and eventually got my bearings enough to hammer him with my last shot (THANK GOD).... It was awesome. I would like to thank The Deer Hunter, Robbie, Al, and the good old OSPREY... Osprey get a little more credit as he picked out my tree for me for this hunt.. HA HA HA HA HA i can safely say that probably won't happen again...... Thanks to everyone and now LOOK AT MY STAG......

yeah, no doubt about it. I tried to get a hold of some taxerdermist on the shore but could not find anyone that had a number for Punky's shop so I brought him back over here and will get him done at the place my buddies take their Sika to. I am really excited.. it was awesome..

3 people went down, The Deer Hunter, our buddy Robbie and ME and we each got a deer. Robbie chimmed in first thing in the morning with a hind, I shot my stag at about 11 and the deer hunter shot what he thought was a sika in the phrag but turns out the white tail live there too...... mmmmm BUTTON BUCK, it's whats for dinner.........

Lemme tell ya fellas, that was one happy Shrek when I got over to his tree! Fox had a smile so big he coulda swallowed a banana sideways. I had to go right home and take a shower, he hugged me twice. Art and I didn't see anything in the evening. Wind was higher in the evening if you believe it Fox. I'm heading down to the marshes tomorrow in the kayak, going to sit the fist hour and then see what I can jump. Congrats again big guy!

What happens in Dorchester, STAYS in Dorchester! SO join us, as we return to the ongoing saga of forbidden love between a bird and a fox.... ;D Fox, I'm glad you finally go it done! Hell of a nice stag, congrats! And kudos to Osprey, for helping you out. Hell, the way my season's going, I may have to get him to adopt me as a charity case.

That'll work out fine: I'm tied up until January 2009 anyway! ie, the NEW YEAR!;D ;D ;D Will be over your side then anyway! Then offshore to freeze my butt off!
Hell, one of my brothers just called to tell me he was wore out: Killed two does yesterday evening, then a buck and doe first thing this morning, a mile in.Doe went swimming after the shot: had to go borrow a boat to get to her. No sympathy from me!
Now we better let this thread get back to Fox and his well deserved glory!
