Well, it's been a chore with getting everything moved during hunting seasons, but I'm getting settled in my new shop space. Since I'm now on the farm full time I turned the old hunting shack into my workshop, got the first bench built last month and slowly getting used to where all the tools are located. And in case y'all think I've been slacking, got not one but TWO guns on the bench. Building a commission gun now, a .40 early Lancaster style for a buddy, then next is a long barrel (44") .54 Beck style for myself. That one's a really pretty piece of wood with tight curl, but I'm still not sure where I'm going with that one. Torn between doing it really fancy or doing a more original style and aging it to look 200 years old. Got a few months before I reach the stage where I have to start deciding on that... Oh yeah, also got 2 horns started, a pipe tomahawk in progress, a knife I started, a bag I just finished for hunting season and a bunch of deer hides in the freezer to start on in January (going to try brain tanning those, need to make some clothes). ;D Just walked over to the shop and started a fire in the woodstove, I think it's a good place to be for a few hours on a rainy day, at least until it's time to bowhunt this afternoon.

I know it's still deer season, but said heck with that in all this rain today. It was a fine, fine day to sit in the shop next to the woodstove and work on a longrifle!
