Got out at first light this morning on Pax, falling tide, with my 2 boys. Drifted blood worms ($$$), jigs w/squid around Pt Patience. USUALLY catch a wide variety of stuff there (rock, spot, croaker, blues, perch, etc) NOTHING. Not a single hit. Ran up the river a little to a few oyster bars. More nothing. Not even a toadfish Few other boats on the bars doing nothing as well. Wound up tossing Beetlespins at SHADED structure up a few creeks. White perch saved the day. ;D

Was down there last week. Caught nothing at point patience. Ran over to the rips and was facing 3 foot waves in a jon boat. It was awesome!! Caught two rocks using my favorite... blue and silver rapala x-rap. Missed what my friend said was a 25 incher. He couldn't grab it! We caught some spot and went just down from point patience to a dock that has 30 foot water where we were live lining. Had a few rocks take our bait and rip them to pieces. Nothing would hold on though. It was fun cause I never get out on a boat but I was spoiled last year when we caught about 60 rocks at the rips.

Spanked them Thursday. White perch up to 11"! On bloodworms, SAME place I zeroed on Monday. Once wind got up a little, went up in the creeks and threw Beetlespins. Also lots of SMALL croaker and a few spot.
White perch filets, Uncle Buck's batter, and some HOT oil! I'm so full I can't hardly type!
Going to try livelining some small spot next time, just to see if there are any takers.

was out at pt. patience last friday and drifted between the channel markers with squid and bloodworms and tore all the fish up. squid was the bait of choice, but ended with multiple blue's, small rocks, big and small croaker, big white perch, and some spot.. and well our fair share of toad fish. it was a great day out there.

well I have my charter trip that I bought at the Duck Unlimited Dinner a while back..heading out this Friday with the JARHEAD and a few others... I talked to the boat Captain and the Rockfish bite is slow but said they are tearing up the Blues and SPanish Mackeral.. so I hope we get into some fish.. should be fun with JARHEAD there to entertain me regardless.....
