Yeah, Thats Mark. He is a great guy, knows a lot about sharks too. We tagged a few of them that didn't have tags. Most of the shark guides do that in order to study the sharks travel patterns. He's had tagged sharks end-up in Spain and Africa, thats pretty far! We didn't end up keeping any because two of the five were protected sharks, two were blue sharks which Mark said didn't tastes very good and the first shark was just shy of 100lbs which Mark likes them to be over that. We could have legally keep the first one but because it was the first of the day we let him go. We had planed on keeping the last one caught which was one of mine but it ended up being a protected shark (Sanduskie???) It was a blast!

Mark is definitely the best in the business for sharking. You did the right thing releasing that mako. They sure are tasty, but it is best to let them go at that size. I think that shark is a dusky, but I'd have to see more of it (where the pectoral fins are in relation to the dorsal). Believe me, you don't want to eat a blue shark. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I get out once in the next 2 weeks. With this weather, that water is going to heat up quickly.
