Polar bears are pretty huge... EDIT: Wikipedia says the males get to be about the same size. I'd still give the edge to the polar bear though.

I agree with Davep, but if we're sticking with Grizz and Polar I'd have to vote polar.

are we talking 12 min rounds or old school 15min rounds. If 15 I would say polar because they can swim forever. That fat grizz would barely last 12, but I would bet on him!

"The Californians of the late 19th century staged well-documented pit fights with grizzlies and spanish bulls. The grizzlies, using their paw as a club, shattered the unfortunate bull's skull or shoulder bones so easily that the betting became poor.
Eventually, and at considerable cost, African lions were brought in to raise the stakes. The most fierce of the adult males was sent in whilst the grizzly was already waiting in the pits. The lion was known for bravely charging straight in and looked good for the money, but the grizzly killed a male lion almost as easily as he'd killed the bull."

Found it while surfing for info. That big hump on a grizzly is muscle that has formed over the last ice age to help them dig for roots and grubs. It is also powerful enough to smash whatever it wants. Polar bears are descendants of brown bears that went up north in search of food and adapted to the climate.
