Heard that Marshall hall landing is a good place. If you walk about a quarter of a mile to the right of the pier there is suppossed to be a big hole that produces large cats. This is only what I have heard. Have not been there yet to experience it.

I'd try a bit further north of Allen's fresh - somewhere out in the main river - the cats will normally be bigger there.

THere was a guy that caught a 30 lber off that little pier down in Indian Head. Just a little creek there. Nice size catfish for eating.

I wouldn't eat anything out of the Potomac. Except snapping turtles of course. Fort Washington area has been producing some nice ones.

Try out in the Potomac - further north of Allen's Fresh. Can't tell you exactly where though. ;D Bretgerhart is in the right area though. Here's one my dad caught last weekend.
