I'm looking at buying the H&R Heavy barrel slug gun and was wondering if anyone got any info on it. Good or bad i'd like to hear it!

I've got the exact same gun as depicted on your post. All I can say is it is one bad mofo!! Buy it you will not be sorry. I've got a 3x9 power leopold mounted on it. At 100 yds I shoot a 2" group with lightfield slugs. Most of the guys that I hunt with have this gun, shoot roughly the same groups and love it.

I was the first in our group to get it and now like 8 people i hunt with bought one.. it is truely an awesome slugger.. with a decent scope and decent skills you will not be sorry.. the gun is great.. have only shot lightfeilds out of mine and when you can cut the same hole at 50 yards and get a 2 to 3 inch group at 100 how can you go wrong??.. it is a bad A$$...

I bought one last spring off a hunter ed instructor from So. Md. It's heavy but it's steady aiming. I shot it in with Lightfields but couldn't hold groups at 100 yards. I shot some Hornady SST's thru it and couldn't believe how tight my groups were. Great gun for the money.

I bought one 7 or 8 years ago for my Dad: stuck a reddot on it for his old eyes. It's a BEAST! I've got it back now, with a 4X on it,and it does the job. Just eat your Wheaties before you start off toting it. IT's HEAVY!
(Paid under $200 from our friend Kim)

Just mounted the scope and got her bore sighted! Cant wait to hit the range!
Fred had both, the good laminated stock for $270 (which i bought) and the regular stock for i think $170. Got the Banner Dusk & Dawn for $99. Just with the positive feedback I've recieved here, I'm sure it'll be worth every penny. Thanks again guys!

Good call on that Dusk to Dawn. That's one bad a$$ scope for the money. I've got the 3 x 9 on my Knight Big Horn and love it!
