Anbody doing anything? I spent an hour discing about an acre yesterday for a fall planting. Sprayed it a few weeks ago to kill the grass, going to have to disc it again in a week or two (been in grass/CRP for ten years, it takes time...), then I'll seed just before a heavy rain. Best success I've had with clover plantings has always been this time of year, gotta get some fresh plots for those deer and turkeys!

Hadn't been seeing much in this plot over the winter - although the geese were in it a few times and I figured they nipped off lots of tiny sprouts, but after this rain it's jumping. Tons of clover sprouting and growing, deer will have plenty to eat this spring and summer!! Saw ten out in the field near it the other night.

Been mowing this plot every week for the last month, trying to keep the grass down in it. Clover is looking good, with plenty more starting still, and I sprayed it with Arrest this weekend to knock the grass out. Anxious to see how that stuff works...

Osprey, Let me know how arrest works looking for something to spray with been cutting back limbs around the plots to let sun in but spent most of this weekend rebuilding bridges on the farm from the rain. Anybody know of something to plant along creek banks to stop them from washing out?

Deerman, that Arrest is awesome. Went and checked it this week and not a blade of grass left in the plot. I should have gotten the Slay for broadleaf weeds though, got a lot of milkweed on one end of it I've got to mow to knock back...
