I tried both ponds at Myrtle Grove and did not have one bite. They stocked those lakes back in October/November. I am waiting for the March 30th stock. I had good luck early April last year at both myrtle and wheatley. Looking forward to some late night fishing for croaker soon too!!

The duck blind is off the boat Big Fox and choot getting his ready. However, I do know of a nice little pond we can go now with a lot of fish in it and there will be a lot of drink at that place too. We should try this week. Or you can take me trout fishing. Never been.

Caught 5 trout friday in about 35 minutes and 8 sunday in about 45 minutes... Caught a couple real good ones considering they are stockers.. but a few that have been in the lake a year or two.. nice size and seen about 500 geese come in right over my head.. made my dogs freak out on the peir i was one...

I went to that pond Monday with my boy; tried everything; skunked. Maybe I need hairyhead to come down with his cane pole, and high low rig. ;D

you don't even need a pole when fishing with Hairy Head, Coot... Just get up wind and let him release some of his patented SHREK FARTS into the water and you just walk by and scoop them up with a net.. Only problem is the fish turn green and you can't give them away to people....

I don't know about the trout but the bass and crappie are biting. Tuesday me and my buddy caught 8 bass the biggest was 4lbs 2oz and 1 giant crappie about 1 1/2lbs. We caught them on live shiners, small spinnerbaits and a little rapala suspending jerkbait. It was 46 degrees that day and windy.
