well i have a secret spot for this coming weekend.... My brother and cousin went out saturday and caught several cats over 30lbs.. said it was awesome.. i can't wait to have cold beer and fishing rod in hand...

dang right and it is to bad to catch a 40 inch rock and have to throw it back... i would rather catch big ole cats right now and have somethign to brag about.

That one was from the James, above Hopewell,mid 30s. Have a buddy hitting 30s and 40s pretty constistently on the Potomac, so I need to pick his brain a little better.Whole lot closer,that's for sure!

That's where I do most of my fishing & I've seen many around 30 and a few above. It's only recently that I've ever caught those blues around here, but I am glad they are here now. They get pretty big!

The last big catfish i saw come out of the mississippi near vicksburg mississippi it was no less than 6 feet long cannot remember what it weighed definately an impressive fish!

Potomac is coming on strong and I predict it'll be THE blue cat river before long. They haven't been in there but about 20 years,and I know of a couple 60s landed,and lots in the 40s.potomac channel cats have some of the fastest growth rates in the country and I expect the blues will a swell.Especially with the shad coming back so strong.
