I took a walk through one section of wood, not really shed hunting but I did keep my eyes open. Of course I didn't find any. I want to go into one section of pines REAL BAD, but I'm waiting just a bit longer in case he hasn't shed yet. I really want to find the antlers from the big 8 I had on film this year, I'm guessing him 140's. Did work the dog hard yesterday. Hid some sheds in the CRP grass, took her out and kept telling her ANTLER. Every time she found one she got a biscuit. She's getting better, going to have to take her in some woods for a real try. I think if she finds one for real she'll know what's going on and be all set.

Good Luck. All the buck's I've seen are still sporting antlers. I was actually was looking for blood in the snow to try and find a freshly dropped shed that may still be bleeding. But no blood trail to a antler. When my trail cam starts showing me that most have dropped I'll start looking hard.

Man all this talk has got me pumped up about finding a shed or two. I've only found 4 or 5 sheds in my day but I also haven't went on too many shed hunting excursions. Once or twice a year is about the max. But, I guess you could say this talk has me Buckwild!! I'm heading into the woods this weekend down on my parents property in VA. We're cuttin' trails, turkey scouting and of course, shed hunting. Sounds like a plan!!

Nice Pair Bowtech, what type of terrain did you find those at? Was it pretty thick?
