Use what works. Carbon is lighter, stays straighter, and will be faster. If you are consistent, don't fix what isn't broken.

Whatever you do well with is the right choice. I switched to carbon about 7 years ago and GoldTips were the hot arrow. I have never had a problem with them. I switched because it was hard to get the arrows out of the target I was shooting and I bent a few and got pi$$ed. Also because the bow I was shooting at the time needed all the help it could get for range.
Now I have a Mathews Switchback and I blow through the target sometimes and into concrete. I have ruined some tips but no arrows.

I was shooting GT -XT hunters for the longest time and loved them. A friend of mine gave me a few Vapor Black hawks to try and I didn't notice a difference except in the cost. Vapors were a little less expensive. In my opinion, both of these arrows work great.

I personaly dont think one is really better than another. Its what you have had luck with. I shoot GT 5575 XT Hunters 27.5" long with a 100 grain head sporting blazer vanes. I also have shot easton epics and feel they were just as good as the gold tips. From what I understand the PSE Radial X Weave shafts are possibly the toughest shafts on the market today. The cross weave makes them very tough shafts.
Some people say that gold tips are not as good as they used to be. They are not made in the USA now like they used to be.
