Anybody?? Anybody kill one blackpowder??
I had 4 does and two spikes by me opening morning, waiting on something bigger. Property I was hunting one guy killed a mid sized 6, one guy missed a 6 and a 3pt, another killed a hind.
Hearing lots of bugling, and the coolest day, opening morning, they were running out in the marsh pretty hard, but 400-500 yards from us.
This weather stinks, but I think the bow hunting should still be good this week as it cools back down...

My buddy Andy shot a nice 5 point sika on his land on the E shore the other day. To bad he made a poor shot and hit it in the forehead so no mount for him. but it made the inside spread alot bigger ..

Dave, I passed two spikes opening morning only to turn around and shoot a tiny hind on Fri. (I sware she looked bigger in the scope). It was a lot of work getting the kayak back to where I wanted so I was still pretty happy with the deer.

Bart, I celebrate anything that comes out in a kayak!! Congrats.
AMEN to that!
I picked up a Perception Swifty out in Lima,Ohio last summer, mainly because I talked the guy down to $100 (and got him to toss in a paddle, vests, etc )
Figured the kids would have fun, then I squeezed myself into it. WAY more stable/fun then I had imagined (had NEVER been in one before)
Have a place that is a LONG walk thru flooded hardwoods/logging slash, and may use it to carry my stand, gun, etc.
Don't know if I'll squeeze myself in on top or not though!
